Beyond Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Striving to Become an Antiracist Spiritual Organization

One Spirit Learning Alliance, an interfaith learning center, had the honor of presenting its journey towards becoming an antiracist organization at the 2023 Parliament of the World Religions. The panel, titled "Beyond Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Striving to Become an Antiracist Spiritual Organization," featured Rev. Dr. Khadijah Matin, as the panel moderator who serves as the organization's Interspiritual Companioning & Counseling (ISCC) Co-Facilitator, along with Rev. Nathan Brisbly, ISCC Co-Facilitator, Rev. Karim Beldjilali, Seminary Dean, and Ilene Sameth, CEO.

During the panel discussion, these educational and operational leaders shared an honest and transparent account of the challenges and milestones encountered on their antiracist journey. They explored how deep antiracism introspection influences their work, classrooms, and spirituality in obvious and subtle ways. They aim to inspire other organizations to disrupt and dismantle systemic racism.

We invite you to watch the video of this panel discussion and join the conversation. By doing so, you can gain insights from our journey, deepen your understanding of antiracism, and be empowered to foster positive change within your community. Together, let's create a more just and inclusive world.
