Rev. Amy Torres
Rev. Amy Torres is a certified Gestalt psychotherapist, spiritual counselor, writer, workshop leader, yoga teacher and interfaith minister ordained at One Spirit in 2008. Amy has been teaching A Course in Miracles since 2005, which is often described as a path of spiritual psychotherapy. Combining body-oriented psychology with spirituality is a signature of Amy’s work, which she calls Embodied Spirituality. Her repertoire is comprised of many transformative healing practices including Heart Rhythm Meditation, EFT, Inner Smile work, and creative journaling. She is a certified Amherst Writers & Artists Workshop Leader, was a copywriter in advertising (learning much about human nature), a reporter for Adweek magazine, and a freelance journalist whose work appears in The Mission, Thrive Global, Be Yourself, and Inspire the World, among other publications. Amy is intuitive, empathic, and passionate about supporting students and clients in their exploration of human self and Divine Self. She is known for her warmth, depth of insight, and humor. A transplanted New Yorker, Amy currently lives in the sixth borough, aka Florida. She shares a little piece of Everglades paradise with her husband, two kitties, a bunny, and an array of diverse wildlife (bobcats and piglets and bears, oh my!) that roam freely through their grounds.
