"On day 204 of the 8 am daily community zoom meditation we focused on Kali - the fierce mother/goddess archetype who wields her sword to cut through illusion, deceit, and the falsehood of separation.
How has this been for me? I am so touched and gratified to be of service in this way. In fact, By showing up each day (except guest Thursdays 🙂 - I am the one who has been so gifted by this experience. This is the longest I have ever meditated on a daily basis and it has been an extraordinary opportunity to deepen my connection to spirit. Each morning I offer some form of inspiration, prayer, and practice from chakra balancing to Mother Teresa to all sorts of guided meditations, including practices from trauma-informed therapies that help to calibrate the nervous system. I don't stress about what I will offer as my practice has been to be with whatever is alive in me in the moment. That has been an extraordinary practice to trust in divine support and unfolding.
I want to offer a special shout-out to Deya DeMarco who covered Guest Thursdays for a while and now coordinates other One spirit folks to take on coverage on that morning. She has been a true gem and angel. And also thank you to those who have offered coverage - so appreciate you!
"My heart, soul, and nervous system thanks Reverend Therese Bimka for helping me deepen my meditation practice and tame my tenacious mind. By sharing her wisdom, she has gifted our sangha each morning these past 200+ days and counting. Her informative and loving dharma talks, and her engaging and varied meditation prompts, gently guides us and helps us create a deep and meaningful meditation practice. Therese has created space for a community of meditators to gather, it is a nourishing and grounding way to start each day. ~Reverend Susy Nason"
"Therese's morning meditations have been a blessing of grounding and connection all these months of pandemic distancing. Her insightful teachings accompanied me through the final few months of seminary and continue to inspire both my writing and spiritual counseling practice. I'm so very grateful for her presence in my life and to be part of such a loving spiritual community. Thank you!"
