Rev. Therese Bimka

Rev. Therese Bimka

Program Director

Rev. Therese Bimka is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Spiritual Counselor, artist, author, workshop leader, educator and interfaith minister ordained at One Spirit in 2008. Therese has worked in the human potential field for more than 3 decades as a practitioner, administrator and supervisor. For 20 years, she has supervised graduate art education majors, graduate social work interns, guidance counselors and spiritual directors. She has worked in a variety of settings including university, social service agencies, nonprofits/community based organizations and has been in private practice since 1995. Therese is a life-long learner and has pursued post graduate training in a wide range of psycho-spiritual modalities including: meditation/mindfulness and Buddhist psychology, Gestalt, Jungian Sandplay Therapy, Expressive Arts, Dreamwork, Guided Visualization, Process Oriented Therapy, The Realization Process, Restorative Justice, Collaborative Divorce, Equine Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing. In addition to her private practices in NYC and The Hudson Valley, Therese has been offering Restorative Justice counseling for violent offenders serving life sentences. This work has been profoundly gratifying, affirming that healing and transformation are possible under all circumstances. Recently, Therese and Sally have begun to offer spiritually based international trips including The Goddess Temples of Malta. Therese lives in the woods with her dog Buddy and her son when he is home visiting from college.


Rev. Sally Schwager

Rev. Sally Schwager is an Interfaith Minister, Spiritual Counselor, and psychotherapist in private practice in NYC and Connecticut. She is also an Interactive Theater Facilitator working in the field of diversity, inclusion, and transformative leadership. Loving the adventure of both the inner and outer journey, Sally weaves diverse experience into the fabric of her teaching, counseling, and facilitation work. She received her Master’s Degree in Education from Harvard University following a decade living and working in Japan where she studied the Noh Theater and Buddhism. She has completed several postgraduate clinical training certifications, including Gestalt Therapy and Core Energetics. She is a certified yoga instructor, has studied with various Diamond Approach teachers, and is a long-time student of A Course in Miracles. Sally volunteers as a Restorative Justice counselor working with incarcerated violent offenders. She is also a certified Exceptional Marriage Mentor, and together with her husband works with couples as a couple. Sally is deeply interested in the integration of psychotherapy and spirituality, and strives to embody and teach a psychology infused with spirit and spirituality grounded in psychological principles. Energetic, humorous and heart-centered, Sally has a passion for counseling, teaching and parenting. She lives in Connecticut with her husband, son, and a flock of chickens.


Rev. Ed O’Malley

Rev. Dr. Ed O’Malley is an ordained Interfaith Minister, trained shaman and a certified Nature Awareness Trainer. Ed holds a PhD in neuroscience from Cornell University, board certification in sleep medicine and Master certification in dynamical neurofeedback. He co-founded Your Optimal Nature, an education and consulting company offering programs designed to foster direct experience of Spirit, through instilling a deep, abiding awareness of the immensity of the natural world. He has a profound appreciation, respect and love for nature. During his training in Interfaith ministry and continuing for several years afterward, Ed spent time with Tom Brown, Jr., the noted wilderness expert and founder of the Tracker School. Under Tom’s tutelage he learned many of the ancient skills and reverence for nature imparted by the revered Native American Elder, Stalking Wolf. Ed completed shaman training with Alberto Villoldo and the Four Winds School, based on the teachings of the native Q’ero people of the Peruvian High Andes. As a full Mesa carrier he continues to offer this energy medicine work. As an ordained Interfaith Minister and shaman, Ed helps people to expand their spiritual awareness by reacquainting them with their own divine nature using the shamanic practices of the master shamans from the Andes and the Amazon rainforest.


Rev. Dr. Khadijah Matin

Rev. Dr. Khadijah Matin has established a solid record of commitment to education and faith-based organizations, serving in multiple leadership and organization development roles as training manager, national board member and ongoing consultant. Building upon her interests in her family history and social justice work, Khadijah conducts extensive research in regards to the role family history plays in shaping identity and community. Current projects include historical work based on her family history; creating models for social workers to include family history and storytelling as healing methods in creating stronger personal awareness and family dynamics, and an interfaith workbook for active engagement in one’s faith and sacred readings. Further experience in nonprofit governance and administration is demonstrated through her participation as a member of the Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society; and recently the Association of Muslim Chaplains. Additionally, in recognition of her works in intercultural dialogue and civic engagement she was appointed as an Ariane de Rothschild Fellow, and developed social entrepreneurial initiatives models for faith leaders. Khadijah has an MS in education from Fordham University. She was ordained an Interfaith Minister at One Spirit in 2006 and completed the ISC Program in 2010. She earned her D.Min. from New York Theological Seminary in 2012, in Multi-faith ministry. Always inspired by her three adult children, Khadijah is called by some as a “woman who walks through walls” and sees her works as her calling and a continuation of her family’s traditions in the ministry, education, and health, fulfilling the civil rights and social justice dreams of her ancestors.


Rev. Moya Keating, M.A., C.T.

Rev. Moya Keating, M.A., C.T., Moya holds a Master’s in Individualized Studies from NYU concentrating in somatic studies and the integral relationship between creativity, the arts and wellness. As a teacher and workshop leader, her interdisciplinary approach evolved to include ritual. This path led to seminary and in 2006, she was ordained as an Interfaith Minister through One Spirit. During that time, she founded Seasons of Life, a ministry for rediscovering deeply personal and meaningful ritual. Witnessing the growth and healing there, her ministry deepened, and she began to work with individuals and families at end of life. She is a Certified Thanatologist, a hospice chaplain and bereavement counselor. Moya completed the ISC program at One Spirit and in 2012 and began her private practice in New Jersey. Moya is passionate about bringing Interspiritual Counseling to a world in need and continues to work with ISC as a counselor, supervisor and guest teacher. Returning to working in community settings, she is president of the board of Interweave, an organization in Northern NJ dedicated to interfaith and interspiritual learning, deepening spirituality and the common good.


Cindy Klaus

Cindy Klausis a 2017 graduate of One Spirit’s Interspiritual Counseling program. She holds a Master’s Degree in Culture and Spirituality augmented with post-graduate work in Jungian Studies. While she has had an array of eclectic professional lives, it is in college and university higher education where she found her calling working with students, especially those from underserved, underrepresented, and nontraditional student populations. Over the past twenty-eight years, she has served as a higher education administrator, teacher, advisor, program coordinator, and national workshop presenter. While working at a tribal college, she spent seven years living on a Native American reservation. It was during this time that she was befriended by a Native American medicine man who became her teacher and mentor. The wisdom found in this relationship shapes the foundation of her current spiritual orientation and call to humbly serve and companion others as an interspiritual counselor. Cindy and her husband currently live in Santa Fe, New Mexico with their labradoodle, Merlin. She has three adult children and eight grandchildren. She loves being in nature, all the creative arts, books, and, especially, chocolate.

Yvonne Lucia, RN, MDiv (Dean) is an Interspiritual Counselor and Soul Companion. Her background in healing, spirituality and the arts make her uniquely qualified to accompany others who desire to embark on a journey of self-awareness, introspection, reflection, and emotional and spiritual evolution. In addition to her academic credentials she has certifications in pastoral ministry, spiritual direction, expressive arts, creative grief support and grief counseling, Labyrinth Facilitation and SMARTRecovery, and a Certificate in Interspiritual Counseling from One Spirit Learning Alliance. Yvonne is passionate about the transformational potential of every person’s inborn creativity across the spectrum of living, loving, experiencing loss, and leaning forward wholeheartedly.


Rev. Garrett A. Foster

Rev. Garrett A. Foster is a three-time cancer survivor. Each diagnosis became a tremendous gift and led him to committing to a life of love, gratitude and service. Ordained by One Spirit, Garrett is an interfaith minister, inter-spiritual counselor, Unity-trained prayer chaplain, Life-Cycle Celebrant™ and community builder. He is the founder of the online Community In Spirit; and will be launching his Spiritual Writers Academy™ in the fall of 2020. A graduate of Vassar College where he majored in English, Garrett spent three decades as a senior writer, editor and manager at Soap Opera Magazine, and The Palm Beach Post and Sun Sentinel newspapers. Early in his career, he won a Daytime Emmy Award for his writing contributions on the CBS drama Guiding Light. He is the author of the self-published novel, The Accident of Being Human. His follow-up novel, The Weight of Faith, will be available soon. Garrett is most called to work with writers and creative types; people who have been bullied, oppressed and marginalized; anyone facing a cancer or other life-threatening diagnosis; and those who are drawn to the path of the mystic. Garrett and his partner of 30 years, Brian, divide their time between South Florida and Merida, Mexico, in the Yucatan. Together they have co-created and owned two successful small businesses; and raised a menagerie of furry rescue animals.


Rev. LeVaughn McPherson

Rev. LeVaughn McPherson is the Founder of KindledMinds, which is dedicated to inspire, empower and celebrate the various life experiences and events that will birth one anew, utilizing a suite of services which includes Spiritual Counseling, Birth Doula Support & Advocacy and the officiating of ceremonies such as Weddings, Funerals & Baby Blessings. She is an Intuitive who is known for bringing calm to what is deemed chaotic and safety to what is perceived as threatening. She delves between mastering the responsibilities of being a mother to two adult male children and influencing policy changes and initiatives around maternal health and community building on a local level. In 2017, LeVaughn completed the ISC program, became a Certified Theta Healing Practitioner, and was subsequently ordained as an Interspiritual Minister by One Spirit in 2019. To date, she has been a student of A Course in Miracles for over 7 years, and has also spent many years prior as a devout Muslim, in Islam – both practices of which she credits much to the acquisition of emotional healing, self forgiveness and the attainment of a heightened sense of Self. With a professional background in corporate management, banking, and real estate, she leans on her combined worldly and spiritual skills sets and experiences to bear witness to and call upon the emergence of the Highest Self of those whom she encounters.
