Neuroscience tells us we are wired to grow through change and loss, including our most extreme hardships. When faced with difficulties, what one characteristic distinguishes those who become resentful from those who become stronger? It is the intention to purposefully convert every life experience into an asset. Whether change has arrived as an unanticipated external event such as a job loss, a relationship ending, or even a death, an illness, or a natural disaster, or whether you are heeding a call from deep within to create a change, this course will help you use your toughest times as a gateway to a richer, more meaningful life.

Across four evenings we will explore:

  • What resilience is, and how we distinguish between surviving and thriving
  • The value of pain and what happens when we do not grieve
  • The five levels of resilience (based on the work of Dr. Al Siebert, the late best- selling author and founder of The Resiliency Center)
  • The role of faith, curiosity, self-love and optimistic expectations

Each week, you will be offered practices that will help you develop ways to implement resilience in your own life.
